Indian actress Hitha Chandrashekhar performs in Kannada movies. Her first Kannada film was 1/4 Kg Preethi, released in 2017. Prior to her spectacular 2017 film debut in 1/4 Kg Preethi, opposite Vihan Gowda, Hitha finished an acting course at Mumbai’s Roshan Taneja School of Acting. She competed in and won the title of Dancing Star, a reality television program that aired on Colors Kannada in 2016.
She later appeared in Yogi Duniya, which starred Kiran Srinivas, Sonu Gowda, Prathap Narayan, and Praveen Pugalia, opposing Yogesh and Onthara Bannagalu. Premier Padmini, her second movie, was directed by Ramesh Indira, a debutante. It was well-reviewed and became a box office hit. Her next release was the award-winning short film “Kaaji,” which was directed by actress Aishani Shetty and supported by Satish Ninasam.
After that, she starred in the Bollywood movie Silence… Can you hear it. starring Manoj Bajpayee, received mixed to favorable reviews when it first came out. She was spotted once more in the Hemant Kumar-directed Thurthu Nirgamana, which debuted to favorable reviews and became an OTT success. In 2024, she portrayed the protagonist’s sister in the Hombale Films production Yuva, which received both favorable and mixed reviews at first but was praised for her performance.
Hitha was born in Bangalore to actresses Sihi Kahi Geetha and Sihi Kahi Chandru. Her sister is younger. While filming a movie, Hitha got to know actor Kiran Srinivas. August 2019 saw the two become engaged, and on December 2 of the same year, they were married.
