Over the past 13 years, Suprotim, a well-known modern Indian writer, has contributed to television and movies for major entertainment companies including Walt Disney, UTV, and others. Having previously worked in advertising, he made his feature writing debut in 2017 with Meri Pyari Bindu, a love drama produced by YRF and starring Parineeti Chopra and Ayushmann Khurrana.
He co-directed Judgementall Hai Kya, a dark comedy for Balaji Motion Pictures. The most recent screenplay Suprotim penned was for Dil Bechara, the Hindi version of the coming-of-age drama The Fault in Our Stars, which was released on Hotstar in July 2020 and was well-received by both viewers and reviewers. He is now working on two feature films and creating an original series concept.
