Story:

Aegan, a 2008 Indian Tamil-language action comedy film, was directed and co-written by Raju Sundaram and produced by Ayngaran International. The movie features Ajith Kumar and Nayanthara, supported by Suman, Jayaram, Nassar, Navdeep, and Piaa Bajpai.

With Yuvan Shankar Raja composing the music, Arjun Jena handling cinematography, and V. T. Vijayan editing, the film loosely draws inspiration from the 2004 Bollywood movie “Main Hoon Na.”

The storyline revolves around a fearless cop who, driven by his ailing father’s wishes and a lieutenant general’s aspirations, returns to college in Ooty. While safeguarding the general’s daughter, he strives to reconcile with his stepbrother and thwart an international criminal targeting the general. The narrative unfolds with the cop tackling these challenges simultaneously, forming the core of the plot.

Released on October 25, 2008, during the Diwali season, the film received mixed reviews. It was later dubbed into Hindi as “Jaanbaaz Commando.” The narrative centers on Shiva, a CB-CID officer, confronting the terrorist John Chinnappa while navigating complex family relationships.

The plot delves into the mysterious activities of Major John Chinnappa, a scientist, and Shiva’s efforts to protect Ram Prasad’s daughter, Pooja, from potential harm. As Shiva goes undercover in a college setting, he discovers unexpected connections, faces challenges, and ultimately unravels a dangerous conspiracy.

The film concludes with Shiva’s heroic actions leading to the defeat of the antagonist, John, and the portrayal of his continued commitment to justice through a mission in Afghanistan.
