Plot:
Ram Murthy (Chalapathi Rao) and Shantamma (Sharada) are the parents of Eeswar Chandra Prasad (Prabhas), who is their son. Murthy desires that his son work. Eeswar, however, receives a lot of attention from Shantamma, thus he is reluctant to leave the village. After Murthy passes away, Eeswar, on the advice of his pickpocket friend Basha (Ali), goes to the city to work to grant his dying friend’s final wish. Basha was unable to meet Eeswar.
On the other hand, Narsing Pahilwan (Pradeep Rawat) has a furious opponent in Kotayya (Kota Srinivasa Rao), who controls a significant land mafia in Hyderabad. Narsing’s sibling is named Saidulu (Subbaraju). When Eeswar unintentionally saves Kotayya and his assistant, Saidulu accidently hacks them. Eeswar is hired by Chandranna, played by Chandra Mohan, to work in his tea shop. He makes a solid living, buys his mother two gold bangles, and prepares to leave the city. Now that Kotayya has been saved, Narsing humiliates Eeswar and stamps his mother’s gold bracelets. Because of this, Eeswar kills Narsing and becomes the city’s most notorious goon. Shantamma arrives in Hyderabad while Eeswar kills Narsing in the meantime.
Kotayya tries in vain to get Eeswar to follow him. Eeswar, who is now Yogi, is urged to remain in the city by Chandranna in order to protect the underprivileged, who are being persecuted by the goons. The goons continue to be terrified of Yogi. So Kotayya and Saidulu team up to devise a scheme to murder Yogi. Yogi attempts to carry it through and slays Saidulu. In order to finish her practicals, Nandini (Nayantara) is also after Yogi for an interview. She somehow develops feelings for him. Even though Yogi and Shantamma both reside in the same city, they were unable to interact. Yogi runs into Basha one day, who tells him he saw Shantamma.
Despite going to the address, Basha and Santamma were unable to locate Eeswar because he is known to the public as Yogi. Basha informs Shantamma that Yogi has a routine of going to the temple every Monday as she waits for her son in front of a temple. However, Eeswar stayed away on Monday out of fear of being attacked by Saidulu’s followers. Basha plans the funeral for Shantamma after she passes away in front of the shrine.
Yogi arrives at this point, but he doesn’t look at the person’s veiled face. Instead, he gives the orphan corpse lifters money for cremation. He decorates his mother’s body with flowers, but he doesn’t realize it is his mother’s body until it is taken to the fire cabin. When Basha eventually shows up and describes the trauma, it is already too late. Only until Nandini displays his mother’s stuff and reveals the truth to Yogi does he come to understand it. This poignant sequence serves as the movie’s climax.
