Test

Story:

S. Sashikanth, who co-wrote the script with Suman Kumar and produced it with Chakravarthy Ramachandra under YNOT Studios, is the director of the 2025 Indian Tamil-language sports drama Test. R. Madhavan, Nayanthara, Siddharth, and Meera Jasmine are the main actors in the movie, while Vinay Varma, Kaali Venkat, and Nassar play supporting parts. After a ten-year break, Jasmine returns to Tamil film, and Sashikanth makes his directorial debut.

April 2023 saw the announcement of the movie. The main photography, which was mostly done in Bengaluru and Chennai, started the same month and lasted until January 2024. Viraj Singh Gohil handled the film’s cinematography, T. S. Suresh edited it, and Shakthisree Gopalan wrote the music. On April 4, 2025, Test was released directly to streaming services on Netflix.

In Chennai, three individuals watch as their worlds clash during an international test cricket match. They struggle in the interim because they must make some difficult choices. Saravanan “Sara”, a middle class husband struggling to get his project onboard, his wife Kumudha struggling to get pregnant, and a world class cricket player Arjun having the pressure to retire due to lack of form when he is not ready.
