British film producer Dame Emma Thomas, Lady Nolan was born on December 9, 1971. All of her husband Christopher Nolan’s feature films, which have made over $6 billion worldwide and are considered some of the best movies of their respective decades, were produced by her. For producing Nolan’s biographical thriller Oppenheimer (2023), she won the Academy Award, BAFTA, and Critics’ Choice Movie Award, making her the first British woman to win Best Picture at the Oscars. In 2024, Thomas’s services to movies earned her a damehood.
