Story:

Prema Katha is a 1999 Telugu-language romantic drama film directed by Ram Gopal Varma and written by Vara Prasad Varma. It marked the acting debut of Sumanth and Antara Mali in Telugu cinema. Although the film received critical acclaim upon release, it did not perform well commercially.

The music, composed by Sandeep Chowta, was especially well-received, with the song “Devudu Karunisthaadani” becoming a standout hit. The film won six Nandi Awards and was later dubbed into Tamil under the title Kadhal Vanile.Plot

Plot

Set against a rural backdrop, the film narrates the love story of Suri (played by Sumanth), a poor village youth, and Divya (Antara Mali), a girl from a wealthy and upper-class family. Their romance faces strong resistance from Divya’s aggressive and domineering brother, Sankaram (portrayed by Manoj Bajpayee).
