Rasika Dugal

Biography:

Born in Jamshedpur, Rasika Dugal’s academic journey was anything but ordinary. Before pursuing acting, she earned a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics in 2004, showcasing an early aptitude for the analytical.

Her artistic side then blossomed through postgraduate diplomas in Social Communications Media and Acting, at Sophia Polytechnic and FTII respectively.

A versatile actress with a knack for captivating audiences, Rasika Dugal has carved a distinct path in Indian cinema. From her early debut in Anwar (2007) to critically acclaimed roles in films like Qissa (2015), Tu Hai Mera Sunday (2017), and Manto (2018), where she earned her first Best Supporting Actress nomination, Dugal has consistently captivated with her nuanced performances.

Her breakout moment arrived in 2018 with the Amazon Prime Video series Mirzapur, propelling her to become a prominent figure in the digital streaming space.

Since then, her diverse and acclaimed roles in series like Made in Heaven (2019), Delhi Crime (2019), Out of Love (2019-2021), and OK Computer (2021) have cemented her status as a powerhouse talent.

While dominating the web series landscape, Dugal hasn’t abandoned her cinematic roots. Films like Lootcase and Darbaan showcased her adaptability and garnered well-deserved praise.

Beyond acting, she co-wrote the short film Banana Bread with her husband, venturing into creative storytelling.
