Story:

Mansion 24, a Telugu-language horror thriller television series, is penned by Mayukh Adithya and directed by Ohmkar. Produced by Ashwin Babu and Kalyan Chakravarthy under the Oak Entertainment banner, the show features Varalaxmi Sarathkumar in the lead role. Its debut on Disney+ Hotstar took place on October 17, 2023.

Varalakshmi Sarath Kumar skillfully embodies the character of an investigative journalist, adding depth to her portrayal. Rao Ramesh, in the role of the haunted mansion’s security guard, delivers an impressive performance. Satyaraj makes brief appearances in the series, with a somewhat routine portrayal. Nandu, portraying a ruthless conman targeting call girls, showcases moments of strength in his acting. Other notable performances include Avika Gor as a medical shop employee, Abhinaya as the wife of Rajeev Kanakala (a believer in the reincarnation of his deceased mother Srimaan as a novelist), and Archana Jois of KGF fame as a pregnant woman.

The central plot revolves around Amrutha, played by Varu Sarathkumar, an investigative journalist determined to unravel the truth behind her father Kalidas, portrayed by Satyaraj. Kalidas, an archaeologist wrongly accused of stealing an excavated artifact, disappears under mysterious circumstances. With her mother Tulasi’s health deteriorating, Amrutha embarks on a mission to uncover the mysteries surrounding her father’s disappearance. This quest leads her to a mysterious mansion, the last known location of her father. Inside the mansion, the security guard, Rao Ramesh, recounts chilling ghost stories associated with various rooms.

After each story, Amrutha employs her analytical mind, introducing technical, logical, and scientific reasoning to debunk the supernatural aspects of the tales, revealing that they are not ghost stories but have rational explanations. Ultimately, Amrutha unravels the mystery surrounding her father’s actions and disappearance, particularly focusing on Room No 24, bringing Season 1 to a conclusion with an unexpected twist.
