Biography:

A. Rajendran, better known by his aliases Motta Rajendran or Naan Kadavul Rajendran, is a prominent figure in Tamil cinema, recognized for his work as a stunt double and actor. His journey in the industry began with the 2003 Tamil film “Pithamagan,” marking the onset of a career that spans over 500 South Indian films, primarily as a stunt double.

His breakthrough came with his portrayal of a villainous character in “Naan Kadavul” (2009), where he showcased a ruthless leader tormenting beggars. This role earned him critical acclaim, commended for his menacing portrayal. Transitioning to villainous comedic roles, his performance in “Boss Engira Bhaskaran” (2010) led to him being typecast in similar roles.

Rajendran’s versatility shone through as he portrayed a killer disguised as a woman in “Thirudan Police” (2014), drawing praise for stealing the show with his ladylike transformation. His roles continued to diversify, portraying a ghostbuster in “Darling” (2015) and a murderer in “Ivanuku Thannila Gandam” (2015). Despite the latter film receiving negative reviews, Rajendran’s performance stood out, earning accolades for his signature dialogue delivery and his ability to carry the film single-handedly.

His distinctive bald appearance, slender frame, and gravelly voice proved effective in both villainous and comedic roles. Rajendran’s impact as a comedian, in particular, was evident through audience reactions, with his character receiving enthusiastic responses in theaters.

Throughout his filmography, Rajendran’s ability to seamlessly transition between intense villainy and comedic flair has solidified his position as a versatile and impactful actor in Tamil cinema.
