Biography:

Early Life:

Siva Karthikeyan participated in a variety of cultural activities while at college, doing stand-up comedy and mimicry on stage. He took a three-month hiatus from his studies, and during that time, his friends persuaded him to sign up for the auditions for the comic reality show Kalakka Povathu Yaaru, which was shown on Star Vijay. He first made a living as a mimic. He was reluctant to enter the contest at first, but he ended up winning. He appeared in several short films, including 360°, Identity, Kurahl 786, and his pal Atlee’s Mugapputhagam. Siva Karthikeyan was granted a supporting role in the film Aegan after the producers took notice of him, but his scenes didn’t make the final edit.

Film career:

He was asked to play the lead character in the film Marina by the director Pandiraj, and Sivakarthikeyan agreed to take on the role. In addition to closely following Pandiraj’s directions and spending a lot of time at Marina Beach to get to know the area, he prepared for his debut role by expressing the hope that his inherent sense of humor would shine through on-screen. Siva and Oviya play a young couple in the movie, and a reviewer praised Siva for his portrayal of the character Senthilnathan, saying that “the role of Senthilnathan requires Siva to be just himself, it is just a cakewalk in terms of performance for this actor.”

Aishwarya Dhanush hired him to play a supporting part as Dhanush’s friend in 3 prior to Marina’s release because she was pleased with his performance as a host on stage. After considerable pre-release buzz, the movie debuted to mostly favorable reviews, with critics praising Siva Karthikeyan’s work as the comedic relief in a serious movie. The project also signaled the start of a relationship with Dhanush, whom Siva Karthikeyan has frequently referred to as his mentor in the film business. He then appeared in Manam Kothi Paravai, a romantic comedy directed by Ezhil that debuted to mixed reviews but enjoyed a respectable run at the box office.

On October 9, 2021, he released his next movie, Doctor, to rave acclaim from both reviewers and viewers. With a 100 crore global cume, it became Sivakarthikeyan’s highest-grossing film of all time. His film is the first to enter the 100-crore club. Don, his subsequent album, was released on May 13, 2022. It garnered positive reviews from critics and viewers alike, just like Doctor. Additionally, it ended up earning 100 crores at the global box office, making it his second straight 100 crore hit. He started filming in February 2022 for the Prince movie, which is being directed by Anudeep KV of Jathi Ratnalu fame. He also started filming at the same time for the Madonne Ashwin-directed movie Maaveeran.
