Parasakthi

Story:

The Supreme Power, or Parasakthi, is a forthcoming Tamil-language political period drama film in India. It was produced by Dawn Pictures and directed by Sudha Kongara. Alongside Dev Ramnath, Prithvi Rajan, and Guru Somasundaram, the film’s main cast includes Sivakarthikeyan, Ravi Mohan, Atharvaa, and Sreeleela (in her Tamil debut).

At first, Suriya and Sudha were supposed to work together following Soorarai Pottru (2020). Dulquer Salmaan, Vijay Varma, and Nazriya Nazim were cast in the lead parts of Suriya 43, which was tentatively announced in October 2023. But for some reason, the movie was put on hold.

After that, Sudha brought the script back to life, substituting Sivakarthikeyan for Suriya. Since it marks the actor’s 25th feature as a lead, the movie was first announced in December 2024 under the provisional title SK25. The actual title was revealed the following month. In Chennai, principal photography started the same month. G. V. Prakash Kumar wrote the film’s music, Ravi K. Chandran handled the cinematography, and Sathish Suriya edited it.
