Biography:

Prasad Murella is a superb director of photography. He was born in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh, India, in the Krishna District. The route Prasad took from a small hamlet to the glittering world of filmmaking is evidence of his zeal and commitment to greatness. With his remarkable talent as a cinematographer, he has enlightened the Telugu film industry. He is a visionary maestro behind the camera. Prasad developed a love of films at a young age. He had the honour of working under the tutelage of renowned cinematographers, like Ravi Yadav and D. Shanker, who were inspired by his quest for knowledge and willingness to learn from the best.

With his debut as a cinematographer in the Tamil movie “Azhagana Naatkal,” Prasad’s career hit new heights. He made his Telugu film debut in 2004, capturing stunning visuals in films like “Venky” and “Chanti.” As a result of his extraordinary talent, he returned to the Tamil film industry where he worked on films like “Devathayai Kanden,” “Chinna,” and “Rendu.” Prasad received praise and appreciation for his outstanding cinematography, which improved Telugu film’s storytelling. The Andhra Pradesh state government presented him with the coveted Nandi Award for Best Cinematographer in recognition of his outstanding performance on the movie “Namo Venkatesa.”

His achievement as a cinematographer was further recognised when he took home the SIIMA Award for Best Cinematographer for the beautiful images in “Attharintiki Daaredhi.” Winner, Venky, Chanti, Chinna, Rendu, Dhee, Raju Bhai, Ready, King, Chandamama, Namo Venkatesa, Dookudu, Soukhyam, and Pantam are just a few of his masterpieces.
