Biography:

Naseeruddin Shah, born on 20th July 1950, is a distinguished Indian actor renowned for his contributions to Indian parallel cinema and his involvement in various international productions. Throughout his illustrious career, Shah has garnered widespread acclaim and numerous accolades, including three National Film Awards, three Filmfare Awards, and the prestigious Volpi Cup for Best Actor at the Venice Film Festival.

In recognition of his outstanding contributions to Indian cinema, the Government of India has bestowed upon him the Padma Shri and the Padma Bhushan awards, highlighting his significant impact on the industry.

In 1982, Shah entered into matrimony with his second wife, actress Ratna Pathak, the daughter of renowned actress Dina Pathak. Together, they have been blessed with two sons. Notably, Shah’s sister-in-law is the esteemed actress Supriya Pathak, who is married to actor Pankaj Kapur.
