Assi, a social drama film directed by Anubhav Sinha, is generating a lot of interest because it depicts the grim legal struggle that all survivors of sexual assault in the country must endure. In the film, Kani Kusruti, who plays a rape survivor, talked candidly about the legal system and the unsaid anguish that every act of violence causes. She also disclosed some important character traits. When both films are released on February 20, Assi and Do Deewane Seher Mein are expected to compete at the box office.

Kani Kusruti is renowned for having a strong on-screen persona. Kani Kusruti, who received a lot of appreciation for All We Imagine As Light, will play a significant role in Anubhav Sinha’s Assi, with Taapsee Pannu playing her attorney. Playing a survivor necessitates having a strong emotional foundation to cope with the trauma and scars, Kani disclosed in an interview with PTI. Although she acknowledged that she would like to become closer to the character, she also mentioned that assuming the skin of a survivor character is not always feasible.
