Ok Jaanu

Story:

OK Jaanu is a Hindi-language romantic drama film directed by Shaad Ali. The screenplay and story are based on Mani Ratnam’s Tamil film “O Kadhal Kanmani,” with Ratnam and Karan Johar producing under their banners Madras Talkies and Dharma Productions, respectively.

This film is a remake of Ratnam’s original Tamil version. “OK Jaanu” stars Aditya Roy Kapur and Shraddha Kapoor, with a supporting cast that includes Naseeruddin Shah and Leela Samson. Samson reprises her role from the original, marking her Hindi film debut.

The story follows Adi and Tara, ambitious individuals who fall in love after meeting at a wedding and enter a no-strings-attached live-in relationship. However, they begin to question their decision as their careers start to pull them in different directions.

The film’s score and soundtrack were composed by A. R. Rahman, with lyrics and dialogues by Gulzar. “OK Jaanu” received negative reviews from critics but the film still managed to earn an estimated ₹39 crores worldwide.
