Biography:

Aarthi Agarwal was an Indian-American actress who predominantly appeared in Telugu films. She passed away on June 6, 2015.

Gujarati parents gave birth to Agarwal on March 5th, 1984 in New Jersey. Aditi Agarwal, her younger sister, is also an actor in Telugu cinema. When she was just 14 years old, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, performer Suniel Shetty saw her and asked her to dance on stage. He requested her father to encourage her to pursue acting in Bollywood after the performance. She made her stage debut with Paagalpan at age 16.

With actor Venkatesh, Agarwal made her Telugu cinema debut in Nuvvu Naaku Nachav. She was one of the select few Telugu-speaking actresses who have worked with notable actors from Indian cinema such as Chiranjeevi, Nandamuri Balakrishna, Nagarjuna, Venkatesh, Prabhas, Mahesh Babu, Ravi Teja, and Jr. NTR.

According to reports in the media from 2005, Agarwal attempted suicide since a romantic relationship with a co-star had failed. Following a house accident in 2006, she was admitted to Apollo Hospital, Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad, with internal head injuries and placed on ventilator support.

Agarwal wed a software developer in 2007, and the couple split up in 2009.

Agarwal arrived at the AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center in Atlantic City, New Jersey, on June 6, 2015, and was immediately pronounced dead. Agarwal, who had a liposuction procedure six weeks earlier, had terrible breathing issues before she passed away. Her manager said that heart arrest was the cause of death. She had been residing in Egg Harbor Township with her parents.
