JioHotstarStory:
Praveen Chandran is the director of the political comedy drama streaming television series Perilloor Premier League, which is available in Malayalam. The author of this web series, Deepu Pradeep, presents the world of Perilloor, which is remarkably similar to Desham, the location of Pradeep’s previous comedy film Kunjiramayanam. In the series, Nikhila Vimal plays Malavika, who, following a string of unforeseen circumstances, unintentionally becomes the Panchayat president of Perilloor Grama Panchayat. Sunny Wayne, Vijayaraghavan, Ashokan, Aju Varghese, and Sajin Cherukayil are among the cast members. On January 5, 2024, the first season of the show debuted on Disney+ Hotstar. Critics gave it favorable reviews.
Plot
Peethambaran encourages his niece Malavika to run for Panchayat president because he is unable to compete in the next elections. Will she accept his plan? That is the looming question. Acknowledging her situation, Malavika and her aunt devise a scheme to purposefully lose the election. She unexpectedly seeks help from Psycho Balachandran. Malavika later unintentionally rises to the position of Perilloor Grama Panchayat president. This surprising development lays the groundwork for an engrossing story full of humor.
Since she was little, Malavika had been in love with Sreekuttan. She makes the decision to pop the question to him while they are still in school, and she draws a dragonfly in the letter because it was there when they first met and when he assisted her in getting up, thus she saw the dragonfly as a crucial component of their romance.
He chooses to watch a blue movie while his parents are sleeping the day before Malu pops the question. But when he hears a throng, he dashes outside without remembering to turn off the TV, and his parents catch him red-handed. The audience hears the reason why his father beats him up. Everyone at school makes fun of him the following day by calling him “thumbi” (dragonfly), since the blue movie he was watching was called “kinnarathumbikal.” When Malu hands him the letter, he slaps her because he thinks she’s making fun of him.
