Nikhila Vimal, an Indian actress of commendable versatility, has made her mark predominantly in Malayalam and Tamil cinema, while also venturing into Telugu films. Her foray into the cinematic world began with a minor role in “Bhagyadevatha” (2009), but it was her pivotal lead role in “Love 24×7” (2015) that propelled her into the spotlight.

Vimal’s career gained momentum as she showcased her acting prowess in a series of successful films. Born in Taliparamba, Kannur, Kerala, Nikhila Vimal inherited artistic genes from her family. Her late father, M. R. Pavithran, served in the statistical department, while her mother, Kalamandalam Vimaladevi, is a dancer. Her elder sister, Akhila Vimal, pursued a career in Theater Arts, becoming a research scholar at Jawaharlal Nehru University, Delhi.

Vimal’s passion for the arts led her to explore various forms, including Bharata Natyam, Kuchipudi, Kerala Natanam, and Monoact, showcasing her talents at youth festivals. She furthered her education, graduating with a B.Sc. in Botany from Sir Syed College, Taliparamba, in 2016, balancing her academic pursuits with her burgeoning career in the film industry.
