Deepu started blogging in 2007 and has published a number of short stories on his site. Following his presentation of his short tale “Glass Story,” director Basil Joseph asked him to pen the script for his feature debut.
His screenplays for “Athekaranathaal” and “Unnimoolam,” two short films, were already written by that point. His blog had five short stories that served as the inspiration for the screenplay of his debut film, Kunjiramayanam.
The films “Paathirathriyile Premam (2010), “Salsamukku (2011), “Just Married (2012), “Cut Piece Kuttan (2012), and “Gundakal Karayaarilla (2013).”
In Kerala, his first film, Kunjiramayanam, was a hit. The Priest was his second screenplay as writer. Shyam Menon cowrote the screenplay, and the film debuted in Keralan theaters in March 2021.
