Story:

Mumbai Diaries is a medical thriller television series in Hindi, India. It takes place at a government hospital’s emergency room and focusses on the difficulties experienced by first responders and medical personnel in emergency situations. On September 9, 2021, it was made available on Amazon Prime Video. Nikkhil Advani and Nikhil Gonsalves were the creators and directors of the series. The series was filmed on actual sites that were involved in the 2008 Mumbai attacks, such as Leopold Café, Gateway of India, and Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus.

Mumbai Diaries debuted on October 6, 2023, after being renewed for a second season. Mohit Raina and Konkona Sen Sharma are returning to their roles from the first season, which is based on the 2005 Mumbai floods. Mumbai Diaries 26/11 was nominated for ten awards at the 2022 Filmfare OTT Awards, including Best Drama Series, Best Director in a Drama Series (Advani & Gonsalves), Best Actor in a Drama Series (Raina), and Best Supporting Actress in a Drama Series (Sen Sharma). Nikhil Gonsalves, Anushka Mehrotra, and Yash Chetija won Best Adapted Screenplay (Series).

The first season’s plot centres on the Bombay General Hospital staff and their struggles on the fatal night of November 26, 2008, during the 2008 Mumbai attacks. Additionally, it depicts events occurring at the Taj Mahal Palace Hotel and the efforts of a journalist to cover them. The second season’s plot, which takes place six months after the first, centres on the medical staff’s attempts to save many lives in the city and the emergency room while taking place against the backdrop of Mumbai flooding, which is comparable to the 2005 floods in Maharashtra.
