Parambrata Chattopadhyay is an Indian actor and director who began his career in Bengali television and films. He is known for portraying the fictional character Topshe in the Feluda series directed by Sandip Ray. Some of his notable works include “Bhalo Theko” (2003), “Baishe Srabon” (2011), “Sold” (2014), “Kadambari” (2017), “Anukul” (2017), “Pari” (2018), “Ramprasad Ki Tehrvi” (2019), “Dwitiyo Purush” (2020), “Bulbbul” (2020), and “Doctor Bakshi” (2023).
He made his Hindi film debut with “Kahaani” (2012), co-starring Vidya Balan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui, and later appeared in the 2018 horror film “Pari” alongside Anushka Sharma.
Born on 27 June 1980 in Kolkata, West Bengal, Parambrata comes from a family of film critics. He has often faced criticism from fundamentalists due to his secularist views. On 27 November 2023, he married Piya Chakraborty, a singer and social worker.
