Biography:

Shobu Yarlagadda and Prasad Devineni are renowned Tollywood film producers who co-founded Arka Media Works, a film production company. They have significantly impacted Telugu cinema and Telugu television programs and shows. Their notable productions include successful films like “Vedam” (2010), “Maryada Ramanna” (2010), the Baahubali film series (2015-2017), and “Uma Maheswara Ugra Roopasya” (2020). Throughout their careers, Yarlagadda and Devineni have been recognized for their work and have received several prestigious awards, including two National Film Awards, two state Nandi Awards, three Filmfare South Awards, two SIIMA Awards, one Zee Cine Awards Telugu, and the Saturn Award.

Yarlagadda and Devineni serve as board members of Arka Media Works. They produced the two-part film series “Baahubali: The Beginning” (2015) and “Baahubali 2: The Conclusion” (2017), which premiered at international film festivals and became the highest-grossing Indian multilingual film franchise of all time. The films collectively earned approximately ₹1,900 crore (US$240 million) at the global box office. “Baahubali: The Beginning” received the National Film Award for Best Feature Film and was nominated for the Saturn Award for Best Fantasy Film. “Baahubali 2: The Conclusion” won the Telstra People’s Choice Award at the 2017 Indian Film Festival of Melbourne and the American Saturn Award for Best International Film.
