Plot
The three young characters Ravi (Venky Atluri), Krishna (Chaitanya Krishna), and Arjun (Sundeep Kishan) are at the center of Sneha Geetham’s main story. The film begins with a heartfelt message for young people, delivered by the renowned director V. V. Vinayak: “Life is a chance, living is a choice.” We have the future, so follow your heart.” At the Nalla Malla Reddy College of Engineering in Hyderabad, Ravi, Krishna, Arjun, Shailu (Shreya Dhanwanthary), and Pooja (Ria) are close friends who study engineering.
The film starts with these five friends introducing themselves to first-year ragging seniors and moves on to campus interviews in their final year. Ravi was raised in a relative’s home after losing his parents when he was a young child. Ravi has no desire to work for any organization. He wants to launch his own company and become a successful businessman. He therefore avoids going to campus interviews. He enjoys spending time with I.V. Raman (Shankar Melkote) at chess and gains a lot of knowledge from him. Because of her intelligence, Shailu is chosen for a campus interview at the Voxel IT Company.
The fact that Ravi skipped the campus interview has upset Shailu. She is in love with Ravi, but she is unsure if he feels the same way about her. Although he doesn’t tell her, Ravi also thinks highly of her. Krishna wants to work as a software engineer and is a batch topper. He gets hired by IBM after the campus interview. ‘54321’ is the name of his basic life policy, which he defines as a five-digit salary, a four-wheel drive car, a three-bedroom house, two adorable children, and one stunning wife.
Pooja finds it upsetting that her parents are constantly arguing. Pooja’s project manager Ajay (Lohit) showed particular interest in her, so despite her mediocre academic record, she receives a job offer during the campus interview. Pooja and Krishna are incredibly in love with one another. Arjun aspires to be a successful film director and is a huge fan of Ram Gopal Varma. He has no interest in engineering, further education, or jobs that require campus interviews. Only because his father, A R C Babu, persuades him, does he study the degree.
Sruthi, his mother, supports him in his goal of becoming a film director and is aware of it. After failing for ten years, Pitamaha (Krishnudu), the senior most student, loves to stay in college and mentor his juniors. A.I.D.S Papa Rao, played by Venu Madhav, is a college lecturer who wants to take a software job to supplement his income so he can buy things for his wife, Bangarajyam. He also goes covertly to interviews on campus and uses a backdoor to secure a job at Voxel by paying interviewer Kishore 2 lakhs. The hero trio’s batchmate, Praveen Kumar, an average Bhadram, also gets hired during a campus interview.
A first-year computer science student named Mahalakshmi (Suhani Kalita) asks Arjun for a lift to college as he heads to the college for a video shoot with all of his batchmates on the final day of classes. He ends the video shoot after dropping her off at college. Maha is introduced to his friend’s gang by Arjun later on the day of farewell. Maha grew up in the United States. Her goal is to study engineering in Hyderabad while staying with her grandmother in India.
Because she likes Arjun, Maha travels to the village with his group to see Bhadram get married. Shailu tells her friends that she loves Ravi after hearing from her father that she found a suitable match in the US. Knowing this, Ravi approaches her to express his feelings. They get together, and Shailu persuades her father to give them an extra year because she doesn’t want to get married to that man. Arjun, meanwhile, has just a year to try his hand at directing motion pictures.
After that date, Arjun’s father wants him to travel to the United States to pursue an M.S. In an attempt to gain a chance at directing, Arjun meets Box Office Bhushanam (Vennela Kishore) as part of his trials and gives him his power script. Ajay, Pooja’s manager, frequently bothers her with ill intent and offers to drop her off in his vehicle. Krishna notices this and takes Pooja for granted. He begins to avoid Pooja’s calls because he feels as though she is ignoring him. Pitamaha is then admitted to the hospital after it is discovered that she has blood cancer.
That is the main reason he has spent the last ten years of his college life failing every subject. While visiting him in the hospital, Arjun, Krishna, Ravi, Bhadram, and Vali witness Pitamaha’s death as he speaks to his friends. Inspired by Pitamaha’s life, Ravi approaches a company with his project proposal and receives favorable response. After failing his C language test for three months, Paparao’s manager forces him to quit from his IT job, and he takes on the name Papaji Swami.
After experiencing harassment from her project manager Ajay, Pooja visits Krishna’s home and tells him the truth. Furious Krishna follows Pooja to Ajay and gives him a rough time. Resigning from her position, Pooja intends to apply at IBM, where Krishna is employed. Arjun finds out from a producer that Box Office Bhushanam sold his story script for Rs. 2 lakhs to that producer. Box Office Bhushanam is defeated by an enraged Arjun. Arjun begins drafting a new script with help from Krishna and Ravi. He meets producer Sridhar Lagadapati and narrates the script.
Even though venture capitalists liked Ravi’s project, they temporarily put it on hold because of the economic downturn, per Shailu’s parents’ wishes for her marriage to an American boy. Driven by inspiration from I.V. Raman, Ravi approaches Shailu’s father and persuades him to marry. When a year is up, Arjun’s father makes him travel to the United States against his will. Despite receiving a call from the Producer Office, the defenseless Arjun heads to the airport to see his father happy.
Arjun’s father forbids him from leaving after realizing how much his son admires him while they are en route to the airport. After his script is approved, Arjun takes on the role of director. He also expresses his love to Maha, who has been waiting a long time for it. Shailu’s parents are pleased that Ravi’s project has been approved. After Pooja secures a position in Krishna’s office, the couple awaits Pooja’s parents’ approval before getting hitched. In the words of V. V. Vinayak, “Follow your heart and conquer the world” brings the film to a happy conclusion.
