On March 11, Mahendra was born in Jaigiri village, which is located in Hasanparthi mandal of Warangal urban district. With People’s Bharatakka, Mahendra made his screen debut in 2002. He went on to co-direct a few movies. Mahendra created a short film called “Nishidhi” with the Telangana movement as its subject. The short film won 39 national and international awards from 18 different countries after being screened at numerous international film festivals. Won the Best Cinematographer and Best Director awards at the Pune International Film Festival and the Indore International Film Festival, respectively. At the 21st Kolkata International Film Festival, out of 2500 films from 60 countries, Nishidhi came in at number 25.
In the movie business, Mahendra produced the 2019 picture Dorasani, which was inspired by a true story of love that happened in Telangana in the 1980s. Co-produced by Big Ben Films and Mathura Entertainment,The film’s lead actors were Anand Devarakonda, Vijay Devarakonda’s younger brother, and Shivatmika, Rajasekhar’s daughter.
