Plot
The film centers on a five-crore vintage Rolls-Royce known as Shamanthakamani, which was taken from the parking lot of a five-star hotel called “Provotel” and owned by millionaire Jagannath, who recently purchased it at an auction. The untrustworthy police inspector Ranjith Kumar is assigned to locate the vanished vehicle. He makes three arrests during the investigation: Uma Maheswara Rao, an auto mechanic; Siva, a villager from Kotipalli; and Karthik, a young man from the middle class.
Krishna, Jagannath’s son, tells Ranjit that he took the car and celebrated his birthday without telling his father. He then expresses an emotional connection to the car, recalling childhood memories of his late mother, and asks that he locate the car as soon as possible. During his investigation, he learns that three blameless Uma Maheswara Rao opened the car to give his girlfriend Bhanumathi a water bottle.
After a failed one-night romance, Siva got into the car with Krishna’s friend Smita. Unfortunately for Ranjit, he ended up becoming one of the witnesses in the crime, accepting bribes from Siva under the false impression that he was the car’s owner. Subsequently, after robbing Krishna of his car keys, Karthik, who was inebriated, went to meet his girlfriend Madhu, who was leaving for a master’s degree abroad. Afterwards, he went back to the bar and drove home. Thus, he ends the case without discovering any proof.
Subsequently, Ranjit tells his devoted constable Satya Narayana who the real culprit is—Jaganethand, who stole the car with the help of his P.A. Because he purchased the “Shamanthakamani” at auction, he received a tip from a minister that IT rides would soon occur at his house. He therefore made the tactical decision to temporarily move the illegal documents, black money, and ornaments.
Later, he discovered that Krishna was celebrating his birthday at the hotel, and he approved it. Later, he saw Krishna steal the car covertly and gave the order to his P.A. to steal it using the spare key. When the car went missing, P. A. first grew tense. Later, after Karthik parked it, he got inside and made it to Jagannath’s godown without incident.
Subsequently, he made up a fake car theft complaint to get the IT department to believe that Shamanthakamani had not been investigated. Subsequently, he made Ranjit an offer of Rs. 30 lakhs as a bribe to end the case, which he purposefully accepted. Jagannath arrives to collect his money and documents following a successful ride failure, and he chooses to destroy the car for safekeeping.
Subsequently, he finds out that the entire 100 crores worth of money was pilfered, leading to a cardiac arrest and eventual paralysis. When Karthik meets Madhu, it is revealed that Uma Maheswara Rao stole the diamonds from the car when it was being opened. Siva also stole all of the black money that was in Ranjit’s car seat while he was paying bribes.
When Karthik got home after the investigation, he saw that he hadn’t given the key back to Krishna and discovered that the key chain held a rare diamond. The movie ends with Krishna choosing to take care of his father instead of worrying about the theft; Siva had opened a restaurant and bar in Kotipalli and discovered that his former lover, Sridevi, had ordered his friends to give him free drinks all the time; Uma Maheswara Rao had moved to Dubai with his lady love; Karthik had chosen to pursue his master’s degree abroad, where Madhu was enrolled; and, lastly, Ranjit was the focus of a departmental investigation due to his unethical behavior.
