Munna

Story:

Munna is a 2007 Indian Telugu action-crime film that was produced by Dil Raju and directed by first-timer Vamshi Paidipally. Prabhas and Ileana D’Cruz play the key roles in the movie. Rahul Dev, Prakash Raj, and Kota Srinivasa Rao played supporting parts. Due to lengthy post-production, the movie had to be delayed multiple times. The movie premiered on April 26, 2007.

Plot:
College student Munna wants to put an end to mafia don Kakha, who controls the entire city. Srinivasa Rao was an upright politician who worked tirelessly to expose Kakha but was assassinated. Nidhi, a classmate of Munna’s, develops feelings for him in the interim. The plot twist reveals that Kakha is actually Munna’s father, who abandoned her and tried to sell off his mother, killing both of them along with Munna’s small sister. Munna is asked to join Aatma, a rival don in the city who opposes Kakha, but he declines the offer.

The mental game starts. The son, daughter, and second wife of Kakha depart from him and join Munna. After a number of incidents, including the passing of his best buddy, Munna learns that Aatma was a Kakha employee. Aatma abruptly turns against Kakha and Munna as the two of them prepare to murder Munna in a factory. For the betrayal, Kakha kills Aatma. After losing everything he had worked for in his life, he then shoots himself to death. Munna is ultimately successful in exacting revenge on Kakha.
