Story:

In 2025, Vinod A. K. made his directing debut with Moonwalk, an Indian Malayalam film starring Anunath, Rishi Kainikkara, Siddharth.B, Sujith Prabhakar, and Arjun Manilal. On May 30, 2025, the movie was released. Critics gave it favourable reviews. The 1980s are the setting for this film. A group of pals tries to follow Michael Jackson’s dancing and style after being inspired by him.

A group of regular boys in a tiny Kerala town are drawn to a breakdance performance during a temple festival and decide to take the dancing floor. Moonwalk is all about their quest to learn, master, and completely dominate it.

It’s time for Sibi Kuttappan, Anunath, and Manoj to light up the dance floors after Naslen and company delivered a powerful yet humorous punch at Alappuzha Gymkhana earlier this year. Although the idea is straightforward, the execution and performance are outstanding.

Filmmaker AK Vinod skilfully sets up the film, transporting us to the tiny town of Thumba, which is located outside the capital city of Kerala. The tone and atmosphere are in harmony with the distinctive Thironantharam vernacular, bringing individuals from all communities and religions together. Rahman, the original dance icon from the Malayalam films of the 1980s, is also mentioned.
