Story:

A. Kodandarami Reddy directed the 1990 Telugu-language Indian vigilante film Kondaveeti Donga, which starred Chiranjeevi, Vijayashanti, and Radha in the key roles. When it was released on April 9, 1990, the movie was well-received by critics and became a box office blockbuster.

The movie was then dubbed into Malayalam as Kodanadu Kallan and into Tamil as Thangamalai Thirudan. The first Telugu movie to be released in 70 mm with 6-Track Stereophonic sound was the technically outstanding picture.

Positive compliments were given to Bhaskar Raju’s production design, Ilaiyaraaja’s music, and background score. During its first weekend of release, the movie brought in ₹ 7.4 million for the distributors.

Plot
Kondaveedu is a tribal community where residents nurture an orphan named Kondaveeti Raja M.A.,L.L.B.,I.A.S. (Chiranjeevi). After returning from Hyderabad, he finds that the village’s legal system is broken and that the local mafia, along with landlords Sarabhoji (Rao Gopal Rao)

Narasimham (Mohan Babu), and Khaadra (Amrish Puri), are taxing farmers and engaging in political corruption, forgery, smuggling, money laundering, drug trafficking, land grabbing, and alcohol abuse.

To the dismay of dishonest officials, he disrobes and becomes a village Robin Hood, robbing the landlords of money and paddy valued at several crores. This is in contrast to being part of the system and proceeding directly as an administrator.

In addition to transforming the community and giving the impoverished access to food, water, healthcare, housing, and education, he finances the tribal people to become self-sufficient farmers.
