Story:

“Katha Screenplay Darsakatvam Appalaraju” is a 2011 Indian Telugu comedy film directed by Ram Gopal Varma. The plot follows the journey of Appalaraju, a passionate film enthusiast who harbors dreams of becoming a successful director. Appalaraju frequents the Rambha Theatre in Amalapuram, observing films and pondering why directors produce certain kinds of movies.

Determined to make a mark in the film industry, Appalaraju travels to Hyderabad and stays with a friend, armed with his script titled Nayaki. His friend introduces him to Rakhee, a producer, and Pushpanand, his creative head. Despite their suggestions for changes to his script, Appalaraju remains adamant about retaining its originality.

To secure financing for his film, Rakhee proposes that Appalaraju convince Kanishka, a top heroine, to star in the movie. With Kanishka on board, they approach a financier named Data Base, who insists on casting a popular hero named Babu Garu. Despite initial challenges, they manage to persuade Babu Garu to join the project.

However, complications arise when differences emerge between Kanishka and Babu Garu, leading to the latter’s departure from the film. Consequently, Data Base withdraws his financial support, leaving Appalaraju and Rakhee in a precarious position.

Desperate to fund their project, they turn to Srisailam Anna, a rowdy sheeter, who agrees to finance the film under the condition that only lyrics penned by him are used. With Kanishka’s persuasion, they enlist another top hero named KT to replace Babu Garu.

As the production progresses, they encounter further challenges, including negative publicity orchestrated by Babu Garu. Despite setbacks, they manage to secure a distributor, Ontikannu Gavarraju, who demands changes to the promotional material.
