Biography:

Premsai, an accomplished Indian film director and former actor, initially gained recognition for his diverse roles in Tamil and Telugu television serials and telefilms before venturing into the realm of direction. Born on September 29 in Chennai, he commenced his media career in 1998, making his mark as an actor in Tamil and Telugu serials and telefilms.

Introduced by AVM Productions in a teleserial directed by the legendary S. P. Muthuraman, Premsai showcased his talent in a single episode. His discerning script choices enabled him to collaborate with esteemed technicians such as Balu Mahendra, K. Balachander, A.C. Trilokchander, S.P. Muthuraman, Revathy, Venkat, and Ramesh Raja during his acting tenure.

Transitioning from acting to direction, Premsai explored his creative prowess in writing and filmmaking. His directorial journey commenced with the telefilm “Manasa Vaacha Karma,” starring Venu Arvind in the lead, earning him recognition. Director Prabhu Deva took notice, leading to Premsai’s role as an associate director in the film “Shankar Dada Zindabad,” featuring megastar Chiranjeevi.

Further contributing to the film industry, Premsai served as a co-director and dialogue writer for Prabhu Deva in “Engeyum Kadhal,” starring Jayam Ravi and Hansika Motwani.

As a director, Premsai made his debut with the bilingual film “Tamilselvanum Thaniyar Anjalum,” featuring Jai, Santhanam, and Yami Gautam in Tamil, and “Courier Boy Kalyan” in Telugu, starring Nithin and Yami Gautam, produced by Gautham Vasudev Menon.
