Rachna Banerjee

Known by her stage name Rachana, Rachna Banerjee (born Jhumjhum Banerjee on October 2, 1974) is an Indian actress, businesswoman, and TV host. In addition to her career in the Bengali and Odia cinema industries, she has made multiple Telugu, Tamil, and Kannada film appearances. She was elected Miss Kolkata in 1994 and has won five Indian beauty pageants, including Miss Beautiful Smile in the Miss India competition.

Banerjee was the sole child of her parents and was born in Kolkata, West Bengal, India. She has Upamanyu Banerjee as her father. Jhumjhum Banerjee was her birth name; Sukhen Das, the director of her first feature film Daan Pratidaan (1993), altered it to Rachana.
