Story:

The 2025 Indian Hindi-language thriller criminal drama Bandar (Monkey in a Cage) was directed by Anurag Kashyap for Nikhil Dwivedi under the Saffron Magicworks label. The movie, which was written by Sudip Sharma and Abhishek Banerjee, is based on a true story. The film, which stars Bobby Deol and Sanya Malhotra, centres on Samar, an elderly TV personality whose fame is eroding.  The movie debuted on September 6, 2025, in the Special Presentations section of the 2025 Toronto International Film Festival.

Samar is an older television personality whose popularity is waning. When his ex-girlfriend Gayatri tries to get back into his life, he is content with his current relationship with Khushi. Rather than conversing with her, he blocks her and ends all communication. However, when Gayatri accuses him of rape, things take a dangerous turn. After being detained, he must deal with a dishonest legal system that wants to put him behind bars.
