Nikhil Dwivedi

Biography:

Nikhil Dwivedi was born in Kanpur into a middle-class family on 25 November 1978. Early in 2011, Dwivedi tied the knot in a modest ceremony with model and actress Gaurie Pandit. Shivaan is the son of the couple. Before going on to work for a retailer of consumer electronics, he was employed by American Express Bank. But he abandoned everything to pursue a career in acting.

My Name Is Anthony Gonsalves (2008), a film co-produced by Shahrukh Khan’s Red Chillies production house and directed by E. Niwas, featured him in the title role, marking his first significant role. In Mani Ratnam’s Raavan, which starred Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, he went on to land the role of Lakshman.

In the Balaji Telefilms production Shor in the City, he costarred with Tusshar Kapoor as Ramesh, marking his third cinematic role. “Hate Story,” Dwivedi’s fourth film under director Vivek Agnihotri, has been acclaimed as a failure. Tamanchey, his fifth movie, starred him alongside Richa Chadha. He co-produced Veere Di Wedding, his debut film, alongside Ekta, Anil, Rhea, and Shobha Kapoor in 2018.

Dabangg 3 (2019), which Salman Khan co-produced, came after it. He also produced the Colors TV television series Shrimad Bhagwat Mahapuran in 2019, which starred Rajneesh Duggal and Shiny Doshi in the lead roles. After a six-year break, he returned to the screen in 2020 with an appearance in Hansal Mehta’s Sony LIV original series Scam 1992.
