Babu Bangaram

Story:

Babu Bangaram is a 2016 Telugu-language action comedy film directed by Maruthi and produced by Suryadevara Naga Vamsi and P. D. V. Prasad under the Sitara Entertainment label. With Venkatesh and Nayanthara in the lead roles, Ghibran wrote the soundtrack.

The film’s premiere took place in Hyderabad on December 16, 2015, and main photography started the next day. The movie’s first look poster was unveiled on April 7, 2016, Ugadi eve.

The censor board gave Babu Bangaram a U/A. With considerable fanfare, the movie debuted on August 12, 2016, globally. The movie and its Tamil-dubbed Selvi were both released at the same time.

Plot

ACP Krishna is a good-hearted individual who even shows sympathy for offenders. Sailaja is the daughter of Sastry, who is wanted by the police and believed to be hiding someplace after being charged with murder.

Sailaja struggles with her grandmother, four sisters, and running her family’s catering business. On the other hand, she is dealing with an existential threat from MLA Puchappa’s goon Mallesh Yadav, who is pursuing Sastry.

She is also bothered by Battayi Babji, the son of her maternal uncle, who persistently pursues her marriage. When Sailaja is depressed, Krishna meets her. He is able to overcome his internal pity and falls in love with her right away.

Plot

He then finds out about her issues and Sailaja’s animosity for the cops. As a result, he assumes a false identity, pursues Babji, traps him with a few comedic antics, and, with Babji’s assistance, presents himself to Sailaja as an ordinary man before beginning to assist her and her family.

They become closer during this process, and Sailaja begins to love him as well. But Krishna has quite another objective in mind. The commissioner has assigned him the task of capturing Sastry, Sailaja’s father. Krishna has Sailaja phone her father after her grandma passes away from a heart attack and asks to see her son Sastry.

He forces her to comply by offering reassurance, and Sastry ends up going to the hospital. When Krishna goes to arrest him, he hears how Sailaja and her family are treating him well and is prevented from doing so.

Unexpectedly, a CI who works as Krishna’s helper shows up, surrounds Sastry, and tells him the whole truth about Krishna. Sastry manages to flee, but Puchappa and Mallesh’s thugs ambush him without warning. He suffers severe injuries and enters a coma. Krishna joins him in the hospital and defends him, but they split up when Sailaja finds out what Krishna’s true motivation.

Krishna finds out that Sastry is an income tax officer shortly after he starts looking into the underlying reality. During a raid at Puchappa’s house, he and his superior officer find a pendrive that has images of Puchappa and Mallesh’s extramarital affair as well as Mallesh’s secrets.

The higher-ranking official attempts to negotiate with Mallesh. Sastry conceals the pen drive because she is aware of this. As a result, Puchappa and Mallesh murder the senior officer, accuse Sastry of being responsible, and go after the pen drive and his family.

Mallesh receives the pictures of Puchappa and his wife from Krishna. Just when Malkesh captures Puchappa and is ready to murder him, Krishna shows up and takes them into custody. When Sastry is shown to be innocent and comes out of a coma, Krishna and Sailaja are reunited.
