Sonam Bajwa

Biography:

Bajwa was born into a Punjabi family on August 16, 1989, in Nainital. Delhi University was the place where she finished her degree. She relocated to Mumbai in 2012 and competed in the Femina Miss India pageant. After that, Bajwa started working as an air hostess but left to pursue a career in acting.

Bajwa made her acting debut in the Punjabi film Best Of Luck (2013) and her Tamil film debut with Kappal, following her participation in the 2012 Femina Miss India pageant. Bajwa is the winner of one Punjabi film award from PTC.

Sardaar Ji 2 (2016), Nikka Zaildar (2016), Manje Bistre (2017), Nikka Zaildar 2 (2017), Carry on Jatta 2 (2018), Guddiyan Patole (2019), Ardab Mutiyaran (2019), and Honsla Rakh (2021) are just a few of the popular Punjabi films in which Bajwa made her name as a leading actor. Aatadukundam Raa (2016) marked her Telugu film debut.

Bajwa’s portrayal in Ardab Mutiyaran earned her the PTC Punjabi Film Award for Best Actress. Her nominations for Best Actress at the Filmfare Awards Punjabi are for Manje Bistre and Nikka Zaildar 2. One of the most well-liked actors in Punjabi cinema is thought to be Bajwa.

She is renowned for her styling and sense of style as well. Bajwa earned more than her male co-stars in the movie Guddiyan Patole, making her the highest-paid actor of the bunch. In 2016, 2017, and 2019, Bajwa was named the Chandigarh Times’ Most Desirable Woman three times. In the same list, she also came in second in 2018 and fourth in 2020.

In 2019, Bajwa came in at number 44 on the Times’ list of the 50 Most Desirable Women. She is a celebrity brand ambassador for Americana biscuits and Moofarm, among other companies.
