Biography:

Supriya Pathak is a renowned Indian actress who has made an indelible mark in both Hindi and Gujarati cinema. She comes from a distinguished family of actors. Her father, Baldev Pathak, was a veteran actor in Gujarati theater, and her mother, Dina Pathak, was a well-known actress in Hindi and Gujarati films. This familial background laid the foundation for her illustrious acting career.

Supriya Pathak made her acting debut at the age of 22 in the 1981 film “Kalyug,” directed by Shyam Benegal. Her portrayal of Subhadra, a character inspired by Draupadi from the Mahabharata, earned her critical acclaim and the National Film Award for Best Supporting Actress. One of her most iconic roles came in the form of Hansa Parekh in the popular television series “Khichdi” (2002) and its subsequent spin-offs.

Her impeccable comic timing and quirky character made her a household name in India, and she garnered a massive fan following for her portrayal of Hansa. Supriya Pathak’s versatility as an actress was further evident in her role as Dhankor Baa in the 2013 film “Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela.”
