Gaurav Solanki

Biography:

Gaurav Solanki is an Indian author of fiction, poetry, screenplays, and lyrics who was born on July 7, 1986. He wrote music for Veere Di Wedding, Daas Dev, and Ugly. He was given Jnanpeeth’s Navlekhan Puraskar in 2012, but he declined to accept it. He penned the screenplay for Article 15, a highly regarded movie. He composed the lyrics for Anurag Kashyap’s 2014 film Ugly, which was his first feature film appearance. The rights of his novella “Hisar mein Hahakar” were also purchased by Kashyap. Solanki composed music for Veere Di Wedding (2018) and Daas Dev (2018). In 2016, his screenplay Nisaar was chosen for the Sundance Institute Screenwriters Lab at Drishyam Films. He authored the screenplay for the 2019 movie Article 15. In 2021, he also wrote the web series Tandav.
