Theatre“Angaaraka” is a 2014 Indian action drama film that revolves around the life of Vijay, the son of a village politician named Avinash. After completing his studies, Vijay returns to his hometown with the intention of settling down. During his time back home, he meets Priya, a girl from an ordinary family, and they fall deeply in love.
However, Vijay’s father has other plans for him. He desires Vijay to marry Kavya, a girl from a wealthy and influential family. The marriage to Kavya would not only secure Vijay’s future but also enhance his father’s political ambitions. Despite his father’s wishes, Vijay remains steadfast in his love for Priya and decides to marry her against his father’s wishes.
As Vijay and Priya embark on their journey together, they face numerous challenges, including opposition from Vijay’s family and societal pressure. Amidst all this, Vijay’s father hatches a plot to sabotage their relationship by manipulating Vijay into believing that their marriage will bring misfortune.
The film delves into the struggles faced by Vijay and Priya as they fight against the odds to uphold their love and stay together. It explores themes of love, family dynamics, societal expectations, and the power of determination in the face of adversity.
