Ananda Krishnan

Biography:

Indian filmmaker Ananda Krishnan is active in the Tamil film industry. Prior to directing the 2016 action crime movie Metro, he assisted Susi Ganeshan on the 2009 superhero movie Kanthaswamy. He made his directorial debut in 2014 with the thriller Aal.

Ananda Krishnan started out in film as Susi Ganeshan’s first assistant director on Kanthaswamy. He also co-edited the same film with editor Praveen K. L.

He directed his first film, Aal, in 2014. Shoundaryan Pictures was the film’s producer. It was an approved remake of the Vidharth and Hardika Shetty-starring Hindi film Aamir.

The media praised him for tackling a delicate subject in his debut picture. Reviewers and personalities in the film industry have given the movie favorable reviews.

Under his own production company, Metro Productions, he produced and directed the action thriller Metro in 2016.

The parents of Ananda Krishnan were Rajivee and Arul Mozhi Varman. He had always received encouragement from his brother, Dhanraj Rajendran, who works for Wipro in the United States. He attended Pondicherry’s St. Patrick Matriculation Higher Secondary School until the 12th grade.

His interest in writing short tales and his participation in speech contests dating back to his school days eventually prompted him to enroll in The New College’s B.Sc. Visual Communication Course (2006) in Chennai. On August 24, 2017, he wed Shrilekha in Madurai.
