Jai Jagadish

Biography:

Jai Jagadish, born on June 29, 1954, is a multifaceted Indian personality known for his contributions to the Kannada film industry as an actor, director, and producer. His journey in the world of cinema began with his debut as an actor in the film “Phalitamsha” in 1976. Since then, he has established himself as a prolific figure, having appeared in over 300 films throughout his career.

In 1998, Jai Jagadish ventured into film production with the movie “Bhoomi Thayiya Chochchala Maga.” Additionally, he showcased his directorial skills with his debut directorial venture, “Madana.”

Jai Jagadish’s acting prowess has been evident in numerous notable films, including “Gaali Maathu” (1981), “Benkiyalli Aralida Hoovu” (1983), “Bandhana” (1984), “Madhuve Madu Tamashe Nodu” (1986), and “Garjane” (1981), among others. His film “Kothigalu Saar Kothigalu” was recognized with the prestigious Filmfare Award for Best Film.

Beyond his contributions to the film industry, Jai Jagadish is also actively involved in martial arts. He serves as the President of Wakayama Karate-Do India, showcasing his dedication to promoting physical fitness and martial arts in the country.

On a personal note, Jai Jagadish hails from Sakleshpura, Hassan. He was previously married to Roopa, with whom he has a daughter named Arpitha. Following their divorce, custody of Arpitha was granted to Roopa. Later, Jai Jagadish married Vijayalakshmi Singh, with whom he has three daughters: Vaibhavi, Vaisiri, and Vainidhi.
