Story:

Tamil film Vendu Taninatha Kadu Part I was released in 2022. The film, which was directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon, is based on a narrative written by Jayamohan. Welsh Film International, led by Isari Ganes, produced the movie, while Red Saint Movies, owned by Udayanidhi Stalin, distributed it.

Plot

“Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu” opens by introducing Muthu (played by Silambarasan), a young man from a poor family living in a rural village in Tamil Nadu. Muthu’s life is marked by hardship and struggle as he tries to support his family. His circumstances push him to seek a better life, and he decides to move to Mumbai in search of opportunities. He starts off with small tasks and gradually becomes more entrenched in the gang’s operations. This marks the beginning of Muthu’s transformation from a naive villager to a hardened criminal.

Muthu’s intelligence and street smarts help him rise quickly within the ranks of the gang. He becomes a trusted lieutenant to Vellu and takes on more significant and dangerous assignments. Muthu’s journey through the criminal underworld is marked by violence, betrayal, and moral compromises.  Amidst his criminal activities, Muthu forms relationships with other characters in the gang, including his love interest, Saroja (played by Siddhi Idnani), a bar dancer with a tragic past.
