Theatre“Endukante… Premanta!” is a 2012 Indian Telugu romantic comedy film with a fantasy element. It was written and directed by A. Karunakaran and produced by Sravanthi Ravi Kishore. The movie features Ram and Tamannaah in the lead roles and includes music by G. V. Prakash Kumar, with dialogues penned by Kona Venkat. The film was released in theaters on June 8, 2012.
The story revolves around the theme of love between two souls across different time periods, with both Ram and Tamannah playing dual roles, one set in 1980 and the other in 2012. The film draws inspiration from the American movie “Just like Heaven” (2005). Notably, “Endukante… Premanta!” was simultaneously shot in Tamil as “Yen Endral Kadhal Enben!” but the Tamil version did not receive a theatrical release.
In Vizag, 1980, Krishna silently loves Srinidhi but doesn’t express it due to her family’s safety concerns. On the day he plans to propose, a bus accident occurs, and he sacrifices his life to save her. Srinidhi, devastated by Krishna’s death, dies at his grave, regretting not acknowledging his feelings.
In Paris, 2012, Sravanthi, the Indian Ambassador’s daughter, craves freedom and dreams of an unidentified person. Ram, a carefree young man, is sent to Paris for work, unwittingly. He rescues Sravanthi, whom he believes is about to commit suicide, and they form a bond. Sravanthi goes into a coma due to a conspiracy, and only Ram can see and hear her soul. He fights to protect her body, ensuring her survival, leading to a heartwarming reunion when her memory returns in a serendipitous moment.
