Biography:

Anu Haasan, originally named Anuradha Chandrahaasan, is an Indian actress and television anchor known for her work in the Tamil entertainment industry. She made her film debut in the critically acclaimed movie “Indira” in 1995 and has since appeared in numerous Tamil films, typically in minor roles. Anu Haasan is also recognized for her role as the host of the popular celebrity talk show “Koffee with Anu,” which aired on the Tamil channel Vijay for three seasons.

In her early life, Anu pursued her education at St. Joseph’s Anglo Indian Girls Higher Secondary School in Trichy and RSK Higher Secondary School. She furthered her academic journey by earning a MSc degree in Physics and Management from Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS) in Pilani, Rajasthan. Her transition into the entertainment industry began in 2000 when she ventured into television. She initially appeared in the series “Anbulla Snehgidhiye,” which was adapted from Chitra Banerjee Divakaruni’s acclaimed novel “Sister of My Heart.” Anu subsequently acted in various TV series and later became the host of “Koffee with Anu,” a celebrity talk show that garnered significant popularity and made her a household name in Tamil Nadu.

Anu Haasan’s contributions extend beyond acting and hosting, as she has also worked as a dubbing artist, providing her voice for non-Tamil-speaking actresses like Raveena Tandon, Preity Zinta, and Geetu Mohandas. Furthermore, she has showcased her writing skills through a monthly column in the “Just for Women” magazine and authored a self-help book titled “Sunny Side Up” in 2015. Her multifaceted career highlights her versatility and influence in the Tamil entertainment industry.
