Story:

Aanand L. Rai and Himanshu Sharma are the directors and writers of the 2021 Indian Hindi-language romantic fantasy comedy drama film Atrangi Re. The film, which is produced by Cape of Good Films, Colour Yellow Productions, and T-Series Films, stars Dhanush, Sara Ali Khan, and Akshay Kumar.

The movie is about a girl named Rinku who falls in love with Sajjad, a magician. She marries Dr. Vishu against her will. Vishu quickly develops feelings for Rinku, but when Sajjad appears, the romantic triangle becomes more bizarre.

Rai came up with the concept for the movie in 2013, following the release of Raanjhanaa. Together with Sharma, he wrote the screenplay, which explored the complexity of human emotions, particularly love.

Given the subject’s relative relevance to the script and period, he was certain to cast Dhanush, but the remaining casting was up in the air. Following the project’s formal announcement in late January 2020, filming got underway in March 2020 and was finished in March 2021.
