Ashok Banthia

Biography:

Ashok Banthia is an Indian actor and director who has worked in Hindi cinema, television, and theater. He is also occasionally referred to as Ashok Bathia or Ashok Bhatia. An alumnus of the National School of Drama, he is well-known for his appearances as Nawab of Pataudi Sr. in the Australian TV serial Bodyline.

After completing his studies at NIDA, he was offered a role in Kennedy Miller’s television series Bodyline, in which he was to portray Indian cricket player Nawab of Pataudi Sr. In addition, he appeared in Hindi films, Indian Orchid (a French film directed by Pierre Morhan), and The Peacock Spring (an English film). He most recently starred in the movie Atrangi Re.
