Amigos

Story:

“Amigos” is a 2023 Indian Telugu-language action-thriller film, directed by debutant Rajendra Reddy and produced by Mythri Movie Makers. The movie stars Nandamuri Kalyan Ram in a remarkable triple role, portraying Siddharth Chiguluri, Manjunath Hegde, and Michael, the latter using the alias Bipin Roy. Supporting roles are played by Ashika Ranganath and Brahmaji.

The film’s storyline revolves around Siddharth Chiguluri, who discovers his doppelgangers, Manjunath Hegde and Michael, through a website called Doppel.com. The trio decides to meet in Goa and become friends. However, complications arise when Manjunath is unexpectedly apprehended by the National Investigation Agency (NIA). It is revealed that Manjunath had been operating as an international firearms dealer, possibly connected to terrorism. Subsequently, it is disclosed that Michael is actually Bipin Roy, a wanted drug lord on the NIA’s radar. Michael had used the doppelganger service to create a false identity, making it appear as though he had died. In reality, he was planning to assume Siddarth’s identity. Siddarth, upon learning of Michael’s sinister plan to use him and Manjunath as scapegoats, takes it upon himself to thwart Michael’s nefarious intentions.

The film explores the complexities of mistaken identities and the dangerous consequences that arise from crossing paths with individuals involved in criminal activities. The three characters, initially united as friends, find themselves entangled in a web of deceit and danger, with Siddarth determined to outwit Michael and protect his own identity from being hijacked by the drug lord.
