Ashika Ranganath

Biography:

Ashika Ranganath is an Indian actress who is primarily known for her work in Kannada language films. She gained recognition for her starring roles in notable films such as “Crazy Boy” in 2016 and “Raambo 2” in 2018.

Born into a Kannada family, Ashika Ranganath hails from the Hassan district. Her elder sister, Anusha Ranganath, is also involved in the film industry as an actress. Ashika’s educational journey took her from Bishop Sargant School in Tumkur to Jyoti Nivas College in Bangalore, where her path to acting began. She initially participated in the Clean and Clear Fresh Face Bangalore contest and emerged as the runner-up in the Miss Fresh Face 2014 competition. In addition to her acting skills, Ashika has received training in various dance forms, including freestyle, Belly dance, and western dance.

Ashika’s foray into the world of acting came about when she was discovered by director Mahesh Babu during the Clean and Clear Fresh Face Bangalore contest. Her noteworthy performance in “Crazy Boy” marked the beginning of her acting career, earning her a nomination for the Best Debutant Actress in a Leading Role Award at SIIMA (South Indian International Movie Awards).
