Biography:

Vineet Kumar is an Indian actor who hails from the National School of Drama. He is recognized for his contributions to Hindi, Telugu, and English language films and television. In Hollywood, he has worked on projects like “Return to Rajapur,” alongside Lynn Collins, and “Bhopal: A Prayer for Rain,” featuring Martin Sheen and Mischa Barton. Vineet Kumar has also made appearances in numerous Telugu, Kannada, and Bhojpuri films. His outstanding performance in the Telugu movie “Vikramarkudu” earned him critical acclaim.

He is the younger sibling of Sunit Kumar, an IPS officer serving in the Bihar Cadre.

Vineet Kumar entered into matrimony on June 28, 1995.

His impressive body of work extends to Hindi cinema, including notable films such as “Drohkaal,” “Kachche Dhaage,” “Aks,” “Yeh Dil,” “Soch,” and “Shool.” In addition to Bollywood, he has taken on Hollywood assignments like “Return to Rajapur” and “Bhopal: A Prayer for Rain.” Vineet has also made appearances in Telugu, Tamil, and Bhojpuri cinema. One of his career highlights was his exceptional performance in the Telugu film “Vikramarkudu.”

Vineet Kumar received high praise for his role in “Masaan” and was lauded as “Brilliant” for his portrayal of a professional cremator. “Masaan” had the honor of being screened in the Un Certain Regard section at the 2015 Cannes Film Festival, where it secured two awards.

In 2016, Vineet Kumar was honored with the Best Actor in Negative Role (Jury) award for his portrayal in “Jaana Na Dil Se Door” at the 16th Indian Television Academy Awards (ITA).
