Varun Sandesh

Biography:

Indian American actor Jeedigunta Varun Sandesh was born on July 21, 1989, and is best known for his roles in Telugu films. He made his feature film debut in Happy Days (2007), a coming-of-age drama directed by Sekhar Kammula. He later starred in movies like Kurradu (2009), Yemaindi Ee Vela (2010), D for Dopidi (2013), Pandavulu Pandavulu Thummeda (2014), Mama Manchu Alludu Kanchu (2015), and Michael (2023). Sandesh participated in the 2019 season of Bigg Boss 3 in Telugu and made it to the finals.

Varun Sandesh spent four years living in Hyderabad after leaving his birthplace of Rayagada, Odisha. After thereafter, his family relocated to Bridgewater Township, New Jersey, in the US, where he received his education.

The renowned Telugu author Jeedigunta Ramachandra Murthy, who spent 28 years in Hyderabad working for All India Radio, is the grandson of Varun Sandesh. In Hyderabad, India, his uncle Jeedigunta Sridhar is a well-known Telugu television personality. Veena Sahithi, his younger sister, is a singer and songwriter who contributed to Nandini Reddy’s Ala Modalaindi.

In 2011, Sandesh had a brief romantic connection with actress Shraddha Das, who costarred with him in the film Maro Charitra. On December 7, 2015, Varun proposed to actress Vithika Sheru, and the two later tied the knot.

Though Sandesh had no acting experience and had originally intended to study medicine, he applied for an internet casting call for a Sekhar Kammula movie in 2007.
